Members of staff are not translators nor interpreters nor do they offer these services, but they are willing to give as much help as possible in order to find a translator/interpreter from among Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru's members.
Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru employs two full-time members of staff to manage and administer the association and to organise its activities programme.
After working at Canolfan Iaith Nant Gwrtheyrn for a year, Gwyn began his media career working for BBC Radio Cymru in Bangor. He subsequently worked for Newyddion 7 and Hel Straeon before setting up his own production company. He was one of the founders of Cwmni Da, and then chief executive of Barcud tv resources company in Caernarfon. He was Director of Communications with the Welsh Language Commissioner and then Director of Communications / Director of Corporate Communications with S4C before starting as Chief Officer of the association in June 2023.
Originally from Ceredigion, Sioned began her career at HTV in the late 80s. Since then she has worked in a variety of roles within the television industry from researcher to Executive Producer, working mainly for Cardiff-based companies Fflic, Boom and Afanti. Most recently she worked for Tinopolis in Llanelli where she was the Production Manager on the Pawb a'i Farn series as well as Heno and Pnawn Da.
She also worked for a time for Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru as an interim Producer.
She decided to change career path in September 2024 when she joined Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru.
