THE PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR ENGLISH TO/FROM WELSH TRANSLATORS AND INTERPRETERS

Code of Professional Conduct

Each member of Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru, on paying his or her annual membership fee, must adhere to its Code of Professional Conduct.

This Code sets out the standard of professionalism and integrity to which all members must adhere to in their work as translators and/or interpreters and as members of a professional body.

The Code sets out a duty on each member to act honourably towards their fellow members and towards Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru and to avoid bringing them into disrepute. Similarly, members must offer the best possible service to their clients and produce work of the highest standard at all times.

The Code of Professional Conduct applies to all members of Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru. It is relevant for translation and interpreting to/from Welsh and English only and no other language combination.
