(i) translation contracts tender adviser and translation consultant to the Welsh Language Board;
(ii) external examiner, for three years, of the University of Wales Course in Translation, run jointly by the Welsh departments of the University of Wales at Aberystwyth and Bangor;
(iii) guest tutor on the Extramural Studies Department, University of Wales Aberystwyth Postgraduate Course in Translation Studies;
(iv) appointments consultant to the National Assembly for Wales (all the staff for the Assembly Record and internal promotions for the Assembly’s Translation Service);
(v) consulting editor for the National Assembly for Wales’ Dictionary of Procedural Terms;
(vi) lecturer on Welsh translation to students at Cardiff University’s School of Welsh for some three years (2010-2013);
(vii) tutor of the Cardiff University’s Centre for Continuing Education’s One-day Welsh Translation Workshops (until 2008);
(viii) appointments consultant to various organisations such as the Health and Local Government Ombudsman in Wales, Cartrefi Cymru (Welsh Homes), Land Registry etc.

Tynged Anochel, a translation of Jean-Paul Sartre’s Les Jeux Sont Faits (‘The Chips are Down’). Published by Yr Academi Gymreig (The Welsh Academy) in 1975.
Y Neges (‘The Talisman’) by Mohammed Dib, for a volume of translations of French-language short stories written in the French Colonies. Published in 1978.
Crwydro'r Cledrau (‘Roaming the Rails’), co-edited with Martin J Ball and published by Gwasg Gomer, Llandysul, in 1984. A guidebook to the preserved railways of Wales.
A wide range of reading books for the Welsh Joint Education Committee, mainly factual books for children of primary school age, together with a couple of substantial textbooks for another educational publisher.
Most of the bilingual books published by the Royal Commission on Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales in recent years, including the Royal Commission’s original website.

An unofficial ‘appendix’ to Geiriadur yr Academi – The Welsh Academy English-Welsh Dictionary. It was released in late 2002 on the website of Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru (see under ‘Personal Vocabularies’) and is periodically updated.

Presented Crwydro’r Cledrau (‘Roaming the Rails’), a series of 9 fifteen-minute programmes on the narrow gauge railways of Wales. Broadcast by S4C April-May 1986.

Numerous interviews/contributions on matters relating to both translation and transport for BBC Radio Cymru.
Presentations:
A selection of the railway and bus-themed slides of the late Alan Jarvis to various societies, e.g. the Monmouthshire Railway Society, the Barry and Penarth Railway Society and the Cardiff Transport Preservation Group (CTPG).
